The village of Tüchersfeld lies at the heart of Franconian Switzerland. With its striking rock formations and half-timbered houses that seem to cling to the cliffs, it is one of the most photographed sights in Franconian Switzerland.
👀 View – Zeckenstein
The best view is from the Zeckenstein. It can be reached from the hiking car park on the outskirts of the village via a short alpine hiking trail – alpine because the ascent to the viewpoint leads partly up steep metal steps directly through the mountain. A trail that is an experience in itself.
🏛 Franconian Switzerland Museum
The Franconian Switzerland Museum is situated amongst the ruins of one of the two castles that once stood here. It provides a detailed account of the region’s history. A key focus is the geological section, which offers information on the formation of the impressive rock formations. There is also an impressive archaeological and historical section.
